We would like to congratulate Matthew Cruz, Campbell Memorial High School Class of 2024 graduate! Matthew is our first student at Campbell to participate in and successfully complete the Information Technology Pre-Apprenticeship program.  This IT pre-apprenticeship is made available through the guidance and collaboration of YSU’s Workforce Education and Innovation and the ESC of Eastern Ohio.  The goal of this pre-apprenticeship opportunity is to prepare students for entry-level jobs and post secondary education in the technology field through real world experiences and on the job training while in high school. Students can prepare for careers in networking, software, hardware, tech support, and telecommunications.

Some of the students who nominated him said:

“An amazing cheerful teacher that is always in a great mood and just brightens up my mornings every single day!”

“His open enthusiasm and ability to get along so easily with his students and staff make him a great teacher and coworker. Honestly, being able to get along with everyone is a great thing and it’s what makes Mr. Lowery, Mr. Lowery..”
