After finishing reading the novel Fahrenheit 451, students in Mr. Kish and Mrs. Rauber's 9th grade English classes worked in groups to build their own utopia from the rubble of the destroyed city at the novel's end. A part of this project included the choice to design a seal or image to symbolize their town. Students then had the ability to utilize the high school's STEM Lab (with the help of Mr. Kay) to create their tee shirts and stickers with the designs their groups worked together to make. Students were readily engaged throughout the project knowing that by the end, they would have a keepsake to be able to show off their hard work.
