Civics Day

The Campbell Memorial High School Government Department in conjunction with Campbell City Government held its annual Civics Day on Monday, April 29th, 2024.  The event consisted of student participants meeting and interacting with Local Gov't leaders.  Students were exposed to the workings of all 3 branches of gov't.  After meetings with the mayor, city council, and Campbell judge, the students were taken on a tour of Campbell City Hall which included the Police, Fire, and Street Department facilities.  Campbell's city's law director also set up a Mock Trial for the students to take part in.  The students were aided, not only by the law director, but also by visiting attorneys from the Mahoning Valley and surrounding communities.  It was a great hands-on learning experience for all involved.

Today Mrs. Lowery's Anatomy & Physiology classes presented their Nervous System Research projects to members of the staff.  Each student selected a disorder that affects the nervous system and spent time researching in order to become an "expert".  They then presented their findings to their audience.  Great Job!
